Here are some simple instructions that will tell you how to program your 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2002 Chevrolet Camaro keyless entry remote fob yourself at home without going to the dealer!
IMPORTANT: Before entering programming mode, have in possession all of the transmitters you will be using on the vehicle. Once you program the transmitter, all previous codes will be erased from the memory. The other transmitters will not be functional until you program the transmitters again.
Be sure ignition is OFF
Remove Radio Fuse (number 17) from fuse box (Located at LH end of instrument panel)
Switch ignition from OFF to RUN 3 times (ending in the Run position) (3 times within 5 seconds)
Doors will lock and then unlock indicating that programming mode is active
* Press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK at the same time on the remote for up to 15 seconds or until the car responds by locking and unlocking again
* Repeat the last step for each additional remote
Switch ignition OFF
Refit Radio fuse
