I am trying the procedure above for my 2002 Trailblazer, but just a couple seconds after the truck enters programming mode, it exits programming mode. It happens about the time that I am pressing the buttons on the remote. After testing, the remote is not programmed. Why would my truck be exiting programming mode so soon?
If you still aren’t having any luck, you can try rebooting the keyless system by doing an electrical reset on the vehicle.
To do this you would simply disconnect one of the car’s battery cables for about 15-20 minutes, reconnect and then try the programming again.
Sometimes this will solve any ‘bugs’ that may be keeping the remote from programming.
