My 2002 Oldsmobile Silhouette wont go into the learn mode. NAPA claims it is asking for a security code, typically they don’t require this. The dealer mentioned something a few months ago about the computer wasn’t reading right. any suggestions?

If you still aren’t having any luck, you can try rebooting the keyless system by doing an electrical reset on the vehicle.
To do this you would simply disconnect one of the car’s battery cables for about 15-20 minutes, reconnect and then try the programming again.
Sometimes this will solve any ‘bugs’ that may be keeping the remote from programming.
