I feel like I tried this and my 1998 Windstar locks do not engage after the turning on and off 5 times? Are ther some instances where it doesn’t work. I had a 1998 Ford Windstar that the fob worked and I want to program them for another 1998 Ford Windstar. Please advise.
    Thanks
    Joe

If you still aren’t having any luck, you can try rebooting the keyless system by doing an electrical reset on the vehicle.
To do this you would simply disconnect one of the car’s battery cables for about 15-20 minutes, reconnect and then try the programming again.
Sometimes this will solve any ‘bugs’ that may be keeping the remote from programming.
